Dr. Eric Weed joined Comfort and Care Dentistry of Stanley in June 2022. As of December 2022 Dr. Weed acquired the practice and it is newly named Stanley Smiles Dental. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Dr. Weed was trained in clinically proven techniques, state-of-the-art technologies and gained experience in various surgical procedures while at the university.
Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Weed has now lived on the east coast for 10+ years and considers it home. Dr. Weed, his wife, Maere, and their four children moved to the Charlotte area in 2020. He enjoys playing golf and squash as time allows but loves most spending time with his family.
Volunteer service has always been an important part of Dr. Weed's personal and professional life. He lived in southern Mexico for two years where he had many opportunities to serve the people there. His volunteer work in Mexico ranged from working on farms to hospital care. More recently, Dr. Weed has traveled to Guatemala to provide dental care to those in need. While living in State College, PA, he volunteered as a dentist with Centre Volunteers in Medicine offering dental services to underprivileged members of the community. He also worked several hours per month visiting and providing dental care to nursing home residents in the central Pennsylvania area.
Dr. Weed is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. He listens closely to his patients and provides them with comfort and high quality, esthetic, long lasting treatment by using evidence based methods. He strongly values the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with his patients and help improve their oral health
